ACTIVITIES FOR CHILDREN AND YOUTH

Moms/Dads and Toddlers (Peterborough Mobile Outreach)

Fourth Thursday of each month, 10 am to 12:30 pm

Your kids will enjoy activity stations, while you chat with other parents. Educational material is available with tips on raising a family. Toys are available to borrow for the month. (Note: there is no program in July and August.)

Floor Hockey - Thursdays

Starts in early January for both boys and girls. If you with to sign up, please register at the BCC. This is a co-ed league to be held for those ages 4 to 12 years. The cost is $10 per child plus a $10 BCC 2010 family membership.

Piano Lessons

Margo Wagner has been teaching piano in the area for many years and continues during lunch hour for children in Grades 2 to 4. Each child is given the opportunity to play a real piano during the class.

Children practice at home on mock keyboards used in the course.

There is a one-time registration fee of $15 plus $40 for each term of 8 lessons. There are four or five terms during the school year. Books are extra.

** New This Year: Music for Young Children is a piano-based music program for children ages 3 to 9.

Youth Activities

We would like to offer continued specialized activities for children and youth after school. Unfortunately, we do not have enough volunteers to undertake this program at this time.

If you'd like to volunteer to get this program going, please call Judy at 705-657-8833.

Teen Dances

Hosted by the GCH Planning Committee, these events are chaperoned by volunteers and cost $4 admission.
