ACTIVITIES FOR CHILDREN AND YOUTH

Moms/Dads and Toddlers (Peterborough Mobile Outreach)

Fourth Thursday of each month, 10 am to 12:30 pm

Your kids will enjoy activity stations, while you chat with other parents. Educational material is available with tips on raising a family. Toys are available to borrow for the month. (Note: there is no program in July and August.)

Youth Activities

Wednesday, November 5 -- 3:30 to 5:00

YOUTH BINGO: Come to the centre and play bingo, a prize for everyone. Drink & snack provided. No charge For children of all ages

Wednesday, November 12 - 3:30 to 5:00

REMOTE CARS: Come to the centre and bring your remote vehicles. Remember to bring a back up car and batteries or a push car. No Charge For Children of all ages

Wednesday, November 19 - 3:30 to 5:00

DECORATE A CHRISTMAS TREE BOUGH: We will decorate tree branches and make a little something special too just right for Christmas. The children will then parade the boughs at the centre on the night of the community family tree lighting party Nov. 30. Bring decorations you would like to use. We will have some supplied. The boughs will be stored at the centre until the night of the parade. $3.00 Charge to cover expenses * For boys and girls of all ages 

Sunday, November 30 - 5:30 p.m.

COMMUNITY FAMILY TREE LIGHTING: Family, friends and neighbors meet at the Buckhorn Buck, carol with Santa and bring the tree to light. Take the wagon ride back to the Centre for some cider, snacks, entertainment and the spectacular children's Christmas parade. What better way to kick off the holiday season with your family. For everyone young and no so young. No charge 

Sunday, December 7 - 1:30 to 3:30

ANNUAL CHILDREN'S CHRISTMAS PARTY: This party is for children 10 and under who live in the Buckhorn School district. Please register Nov. 3 to Nov.19 at the Centre. We need to know who is coming so we can tell Santa. Something for everyone crafts, games, snacks and make a surprise gift for someone special. Santa will be there and he can't wait to see you. *Doors will not be open before 1:30. *There is no charge for this event.  

Teen Dances - 7 to 10 p.m.

Hosted by the GCH Planning Committee, these events are chaperoned by volunteers and cost $4 admission.

Tentative dates for 2009 are: January 16; February 13; March 27 and May 8.  

We ask that parents be prompt in picking up your teen.
