I have over this last weekend heard that the rink in Buckhorn was not open for Heritage Day because there was not enough ice. It was said that the ice can not be made thick because of the doors. This problem should be fixed and the ice made thick so that the ice will last longer on those warmer days. I have asked about the rink in Cavendish and was told there is about 6 inches thick on that natural rink. If we have a problem with the ice thickness doors etc this should be dealt with before more money is spent on a 200,000 dollar roof.

I too have had issues getting any information or responses to our emails. Our band name should have listed simply as “East of 45″. Would like to know details as to the venue and the sound equipment available. Another act that was to perform was also listed incorrectly and he also has had little or no contact.

I was contacted some time ago about the guild participating in Heritage Day again in 2012. I had said that we would be there with a display. I have not had any feedback or communication since then letting me know any details. Please advise ASAP as I need to get my guild volunteers in place for this event.
