The Buckhorn Community Centre is a not-for-profit organization, raising funds through major annual events as well as many on-going activities throughout the year. More than 500 volunteers contribute their time and talents to make these events a success. Find out more about us. *** Discover the power of art at the 31st Annual Buckhorn Fine Art Festival August 14 to 17 Recognized as one of the supreme Canadian Art Festivals, the Buckhorn Fine Art Festival promotes North American artists who collectively display a vibrant array of forms and mediums. The Buckhorn Fine Art Festival has been recognized as one of the Top 100 Festivals and Events in the Province. In addition to the high-quality professional art on display and for sale, there are a number of interesting and interactive activities during the weekend: A Family and Friends Watercolor Painting Workshop with Julia Conlon, one of our exhibiting artists. Flight shows with free flying birds of prey on Sunday August 17. Sponsored by TD Friends of the Environment Foundation. The Buckhorn Art Competition & Youth Art Display, features art of 8-12 year olds from public schools in the area. The display is non-competitive. For more details visit Buckhorn
Fine Art Festival *** Wine Not Fiesta Buckhorn 2008 is one for the history books. Friday night's on-and-off rain didn't dampen the spirits of those who attended. They tasted wine, beer and succulent cuisine while listening to the amazing jazz stylings of Bridget Foley and The Guys. Saturday brought out the sunshine and heat of a beautiful Buckhorn day and the crowds at Fiesta Buckhorn proved there are plenty of people who know how to relax. More than 70 Ontario wineries, area restaurants and breweries made the trip to Buckhorn and provided tastes of their products to more than 3,000 visitors. Visitors commended the volunteers and organizers for a job well done! The organizing committee thanks all the volunteers that made this event a success. Congratulations Fiesta Buckhorn

"This is a great community centre! We're really
looking forward to coming back during the summer for many different
events you'll be holding here." Adopt-A-Troop Program The Buckhorn Community Centre is collecting items from May 26 to July 31 to be sent to a unit in Afghanistan. There will also be a booth at Canada Day Tuesday, July 1, to make donations, sign a shirt or write a card. Find out more >> ***
