The Buckhorn Community Centre is one of the largest event facilities available in the heart of the Kawarthas and is unique in its layout. On 10 acres of land, the Centre offers an 8,000 square-foot main building, 11 outdoor pavilions, a covered patio, a paved parking lot, a baseball/soccer field and a seasonal garden – the perfect place to make your event one to remember.

With more than 40 years of catering experience, the BCC has two large kitchens with ovens, stoves and refrigeration. If you need an event planner or caterer, reach out to us and we can provide you with information about local vendors.

The BCC is fully accessible, licensed and air conditioned.

Please note: There are some events, like “Jack and Jill Showers”, for which we do not rent our facility.

Room Capacity

The main building features two large gymnasium-type rooms plus an add-on stage area that can be used as one space or separated by a sound-deadening doors to make two or three rooms. Two other meeting rooms can accommodate smaller audiences.

East Room
The East room is a gymnasium that can be used for sports but can also seat up to 150 people at tables with room for dancing.

West Room
The West room is a banquet hall that can be used for events and seats up to 150 people at tables with room for dancing. There is also a digital projector and a large drop-down screen available.
Meeting Rooms
The two other meeting rooms can each seat up to 30 people theatre-style or can accommodate 60 people standing.
There are also 11 pavilions and a covered patio in a keyhole shape.

Fee Structure

The BCC charges reasonable fees to rent our space and use our equipment. The standard fee, including rental of tables and chairs, reasonable cleanup costs and room rental, for each of our banquet rooms is as follows:

  • Wedding: $650 to $750 + HST
  • Hall/Gymnasium – Starting at $30 per hour. This does not include any amenities which can be arranged separately.
